hey ,well one week has past and no word ,its becomming a showdown and im tired of the waiting and games i have now been told the guy in the dec that has the power to change is STEVE HURST FROM ALBANY ,our local tv are wstm,9wsyr,news10 and paper is tom leo syracuse.com they have all done a GREAT job covering it and love to write about rocky they are into publicizing it as much as possible and always like to hear from the public ,they are amazed expecially to hear from those out of state who are following it ,im waiting on a call back from fisheries steve hurst been leaving messages for a week now and just called him again ,just waiting i assume for more excuses but will keep you updated if i get in touch ,thanks
 
thats a great article... it is honest and open and to the point..dec is so wrong... and people can see that from this article.... but i still do not trust them...they will show up eventually... because thats how they are...
 
i was reading the comments left following the article chris posted above and came across this one and it almost put me in tears i was laughing so hard.

Rocky must be stopped before he climbs out of the tank, unlocks the door, and walks to Lake Ontario to wreak havoc. He could lay waste the entire Great Lakes in a matter of a month or so. A single snakehead can consume 300 million metric tons of fish per week. Once he's decimated the fish population he'll have to take to land in search of warm blooded prey, that's when things could get ugly. Rocky would tower over 300' by then and have armor-like scales.
 
If we're worried about large, hardy fish decimating lake populations, why don't we drive the Bowfin excinct?

If the government wants to come down on animals harming native species, they should go for things that are actually a threat. Like freeroaming cats.
