Public Outrage halts states execution of Snake head ...

this entire incident banning all species of snakehead started in maryland dont you think they would be the last state to unban any species of this fish. i mean really they did there job to identify and know which 2 species cause the threat. dont the other 49 states feel that its there JOB to do the same. bottom line is if you kill this fish it only shows your ignorance as your dept will be viewed differntly by all sorts of people from here on out. why dont you do yourselves a favor and research the species and save this fish as its no harm to your environment and maybe if you do this and get in the same boat as maryland then maybe other states will open there eyes and say we need to make some changes as well. im also going to email them.

JD7 Is on to something. It would be a good idea to find all cases like the ones stated above for referencing. Find every case where they have shown leniency and throw it at them. Seriously though, think about it.

Everyone should try and find some cases in that state. and PM them to him. I think this would help alot.

this is ludicrous. the fish is in a controlled environment and should there come a time when the owner no longer wants him he should turn him over to the dec, until then the fish should be grandfathered in.

Isn't this petition for people who want to SAVE Rocky? People need to stop with their stupid ass comments. He's someones pet! He had him BEFORE the law went into effect. I can see if he was purchased after. Let it be! There are other ways to resolve this.. Like other people have stated...a live webcam, monthly visits, etc. All you other people who have rude comments, keep them off here. You sound pathetic. The DEC has nothing better to do then to kill a fish. And they are worried that it will get out and possibly breed?!?!? HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?!?!? There are no other fish of his species!
