Public Outrage halts states execution of Snake head ...

Liverpool (WSYR-TV) - Rocky the snakehead fish had a few visitors Saturday and they weren't members from the Department of Environmental Conservation.
Rocky's owner invited the public to his home because he says he's received lots of requests to see the fish ever since he started his fight to keep his pet alive.
Rocky's owner is also selling t-shirts to raise money for local animal shelters and rescue groups.
Rocky was supposed to be killed last month by the DEC. It is considered illegal to own a snakehead fish in New York. The DEC postponed the killing because of all the attention Rocky has received.

if they say rocky might get too stressed out by a move then why are they so worried about him slipping away out of the house, out the door and into a waterway? thats alot of slithering for a stressed out fish. also freezing him isnt humane at all if he can survive out of water. where is peta when you need them?

Eff PETA, they suck. They'd also lobby for Rocky's descruction because they are AGAINST owning pets, of any kind. They don't even want blind people to have seeing eye dogs-- but it's perfectly fine for Ingrid Newkirk to have her insulin shots, insulin which BTW is synthesized from DOGS so she can carry on her message of animal freedom! (But, she urges other diabetic PETA members not to take insulin for the safety and well being of medical testing animals.)

Just to clear things up, That's Mary Beth Sweetland not Ingrid Newkirk. I don't think Ingrid is a diabetic.

Hope the snakehead is saved. I know I wouldn't be too happy if my syno- cats or plecos got illegal and someone wanted to come and have them destroyed.

Hmm Thought the article I read said it was Ingrid... I just googled, you're right. Sorry. But still... insanity.

Also, Chris didn't start that myspace to my knowledge, just someone rallying support for Rocky.
