Does anyone run a drip system on their pup tanks? IS this frowned upon?
I woke up to my 6 week old pup dead today. Died within about 36 hours of it's last meal. Wondering IF I could have been the cause.
Checked water, had a bit of ammonia but it seems like all my water tests out to have a slight bit of ammonia to it. Thought this may be a byproduct of the carbon block filters used in the drip system? I do have high PH. I realize this is more deadly, but I don't understand IF this to be an issue why was the first month and a half so troublefree?
The thing was a maniac when it came to food. Just don't understand how it could go from so active and healthy to dead in a weekend.
Talk about making you sick to your stomach...... I feel like a complete failure. Just about sold all my rays last time this happened. You set out to watch pups grow up. Having to watch them die never crosses your mind till the time comes. When it does the highs don't seem to make up for the lows.
It never fails. Everytime I list or even think about selling a ray problems immediately follow. It's like they know they may be leaving and just decide to check out early. Someone asked about one of my nice Marbles, I thought long and hard about it. Shot them a price and it quit eating within 2 days. Swore to myself if she started eating again she'd never go anywhere. Started eating again in 2 days.
