I am NOT in this for the money. Why the F@#! would I be messing with Marbles IF I was in it for the money?

I've dealt with this crap from day one and have dealt with some of the shystiest people in the hobby to get what I have today.

At this point $s out the window. I want to fill my tanks with nice Marbles that I bred that I know will stay nice.

It's become obvious that it's a buyer's market so those in the market can buy all them healthy, plump, tough as nails wild caughts.

With rays I just fill up the freezer with frozen trophies of failure.

You're so funny lol. Besides the genes, like the P14, you need to groom marbles in particular tank colors to enhance their colors. Yup, plenty of people lost a bundle in rays cos no one knew how to treat the initial imports.

Wild caught rays are not tougher. Captive bred one are used to the water conditions and pumped up nice and healthy since birth.

As for dead rays, chuck them. I would have started off with just 2 motoros to perfect the set up before plunging into your dream rays.

Cheers.

I've tried several color combinations in several tanks under different kinds of light. My trademark substrate isn't the white sand with large black rocks cause I like the way it looks, it stays in the tanks cause I am unable to find a combination that brings out the pattern better. If you know of a better combination PLEASE PM me. I'm all ears.

I know wild caughts are not tougher. That was sarcasm. :) WC Marbles seem to be very delicate.

The dead rays are long gone... Prolly would have filled my freezer full 3 times over. :(

I started off with a trio of Motoros.

If there's any system improvements I can make I'm open to suggestions. I am constantly striving to make improvements and I think the filtration system on my 750 is a product of what has been learned so far through trial and error. I consider this filtration system capable of running with the best of them. The reactors alone should be good for 6+ lbs of food. The wet/dry itself handled a half dozen full grow rays. There's also 50+ lbs of ceramic rings.

Dream rays will remain just that. A dream. Until I get Marbles figured out I won't be making any progress towards that dream.
