the many laws of our societies.

Ok but where did those laws come from?? There had to be a point of origin. Again going back to my previous question if can make decisions and we are not tied to our genetic makeup then at what point did we begin to decide what is right and what is wrong? We are the only species that has a distinction between what is right and wrong so where did that come from?

Ok yes but how did those law get established?
well somebody had to (the government). we would live in chaotic and barbaric societies if we didnt have a legal system in place.

trust me, i know how you feel. this is a becoming a place where all you have a 50 page threads about kids complaining how bad theyre life is, or 12yr olds making threads about their parents not letting them get a 10g tank, and at the same time you cant have a discussion between adults about current events

:screwy:

I certainly have thoughts on why that is but what is your opinion?:D

We haven't always had a government. How do you determine what is right or wrong?

Let's look at this objectively:

She could have been teaching the puppies to fly.

She could have went and retrieved them afterwards.

She could have been feeding her fish.

She could have been a very sick individual whose Craigslist ad about free puppies never got answered.

We will never know. :(

Sad part about this is it happens on a daily basis. Domesticated pets are simply over populated. Other countries dont view dogs and cats in the same regard we do. What's more humane, Letting these animals starve and suffer and die of disease or letting them drown peacefully. I dont agree with the drama effect of being tossed into the river like trash, but other countries dont have the resources to care for these animals or to put them down humanely. Its the sad truth in the world we live in. Get over yourselves people.

that is not true. forms of government exist back well into the BC era, and it's been well proven based on discoveries we've made.

Drowning is a lousy way to go for any mammal. Sailing through the air, striking the water and being dragged along in the current as you drown is not my definition of "peaceful". Nor is the possibility of predation.

If she wanted peaceful she could have clubbed them or at least used a tub.

Yes governments do go back quite a long way but they have not always existed. If you are of the evolutionary mind at some point we changed from something to become human. At that point there was no government. So did we have an idea of right and wrong at that point or were we still on the eat or be eaten mind set? IF so when did we begin to understand the difference between right and wrong or is this a moral code that has been given to us?
