Pure bred or hybrid, im having a hard time guessing

Haha I find it funny how so many people in socal are getting these "orinos" and they turn out to be some occels with a ton of spangles. Guess Becca can be added onto the list now
theres posts all over the main cichla section all of them look the same and came from the same place the big difference is all of them have that fourth bar which occelaris dont have that would make them pleizona so that narrows it down immensly imo we all ordered these fish as wild caught whos to say the people that netted them can properly identify a 2 " fish i dont know a single person on here that can unless they breed them there self and i can guarantee we have our eyes on them alot more then a guy with a net from above lets face it we order fish in from wild caught sources and its always a gamble .

Yea I don't think I want to put them at that much risk to find out. How big are yours? Mine are atleast 5 inches. And as far as them being Pleizonas...we can all hope right? Lol

thats what i said at first then i started doing some reading and like hcr said they do look promising im not gonna claim i know it all but what ive read opened my eyes a bit mine are 6" and 7 "

Well said fish junkie!

The glass said $25fish each

So their spangles are gone but the 4th bar is still there. Im guessing they are ocellaris?2011-11-30_19-07-06_370.jpg
