No dude, I'm serious. The more water changes you do, the more stable you pH will stay. Acids build up in between water changes. See what I mean?

ok coz i got kinda confused with the  after it.

Double checking, my feet taste nasty.

I don't think purigen will take care of that, but I dunno, you could try.

You're convincing me to not buy it!

Ooops

can you use any de-chlor when recharging it
i have some wardley brand and i thoght about using it

I don't know, I have used Prime and AmQuel becuase I ran out of Prime.

You have to use stuff that's not amine based when recharging. API's tap water conditioner uses amine based ingredients for ammonia removal, so don't use that. I'm not sure about the rest, other than prime is safe.

API Tap water conditioner patent states it uses an amine based polymer to detoxify ammonia.

Havn't searched for Amquel yet on google, I might get to that in the next few days, seachem didn't raise any objections in this thread though:

Sorry, I haven't had a change to post this. Seachem took a while to get back to me for my second e-mail, then I was away, and then I got sick. Here is it.

Hello,

Purigen will absorb a broad range of organics. Purigen
works as a micro and macro porous resin and can have ionic
exchange depending on the organic composition present.
Because of the varying degrees present in aquarium
systems and the various ways Purigen can function there is
no exact list of organics that Purigen will absorb.

Amquel, Prime, and Kent Ammonia Detox are all hydrosulfite based.

Depends on if it absorbs micronutrients. I don't know.
