What bichir do you think would be best to keep with them im either thinking delhezi bichir, ornate bichir, or endlicheri bichir which one do you think would be best? Also thanks for the info on the catfish and red wolf fish.

The most interesting thing about the group is they have a pecking order amongst themselves.. They do not really fight back aggressively toward other more aggressive fish I did not leave fish were not getting along together for too long. They are in a 150g tank with floating plants covering about 75% of the surface ...I do think the wolves tried to eat the arowana..
Sometimes the cat fish will nibble at the wolves tails and vice versa but not to bad the wolves are messy eaters so it is good to have a few bottom feeders... I also forgo to mention I have a Poly.. Sengalus with them.

Wow. Sounds like a fun tank.

Keep in mind that Red (Erythrinus Erythrinus) and Purple (Erythrinus Sp. Peru) are more than likely separate species.
I believe the info that Indy has been giving you is on the Purple, which you were asking about in the original post.
In either case, a Delhezi would be best. Ornates especially can get quite aggressive when large. Bichirs will eat in the daytime, but are excellent hunters after dark when your wolffish will be relaxing.

Ok thanks bottles I was asking about the difference between the purple and the red was because I read somewhere that the purple are much more aggressive than the red I have no clue if this is true or not also thanks for the info on the bichirs.

Wait hold on wont a clown knife fish eat a delhezi bichir wont a saddle bichir aka/endlicheri bichir be more appropriate just curious to know since the guy down at the aquarium store said full grown clown knife can eat full a grown delhezi bichir.

A full grown Clown Knife could tear up a Red or Purple as well, I wouldn't recommend the combo. The Clown Knifes can grow pretty fast. The ones that I've kept haven't been particularly aggressive, but I had a 15-16" one go on a rampage and it did a lot of damage to tankmates (one of them being a thick, 16" Ornate Bichir).

I was under the impression that the Red Wolffish was more aggressive.

You need to stop asking redundant questions and start doing what "koltsixx" (moderator) said..and that was start helping yourself.

First off... work on getting a tank! Stop asking the million redundant questions about what fish go with what fish. Most cohab's are trial and error so most of the time there is no right answer as what works for one person does not necessarily work for the next.
