Of coarse it was a setup... In typical Russian style. Likely had a good 10 people sitting around with highpower rifles and Tranquilizer guns while Putin took the shot. They would not have been allowed until Vlad got his round in first.

Got to remember this is the same guy who flew into Chechnya in an SU-27 (taking out a portion of Komsomolskoe along the way), flew and tested advanced cruise missiles from a TU-160. Fishes and hunts barechested in front of cameras, wears sunglasses everywhere, is a blackbelt in martial arts and has a song about him that IS NOT a parody....("Tgo Kak Putin".. I want a man like Putin)
