oh well no **** lol there like 2 inch fish im outting them in a 75 once they outgrow it

Changes in heat can have an effect, especially for those species who prefer to breed at the higher heats.

I've found water changes with a lot of surface agitation to cause an onset of breeding, as it simulates rain. I highly doubt this is going to help them 'pair up' at all though if they haven't already shown some signs of becoming or being a breeding pair of fish.

Barry White, Al Green, Marvin ***e and Miss LaBelle! Duhhhh!!!

Live foods, a change in enviroment (change tank decor, or change tank completely), big water changes, and i actually drop the heat on mine, but ive heard it works both ways..

the change in scenery makes them fight, and do the whole strength proving things, but it can go either way im afraid.

Normally, if im doing tank maintainance (ie a complete tank strip down) my sevs will have a gauranteed spawn when in the temp container sat in the middle of my living room. always fun to watch them splashing about in a 10 gal tub. :)

i find that a number of things mentioned before works, Clean water, high temp also after doing a water change, put the water in at about 20C/70F and letting it raise up slowly using the heaters and then the water ending up at about 29C/84F, also i think changing decor, feeding variety's of food (earth worms, shrimp etc).

ive not tried the mealworms thing but i would have thought it would work.

just buy a bigger tank and try breed them in their...and raise temperature, lots of water change like many said, and add some water agitation like one said and just do it with a powerhead with an airpump connected...it will airate the tank and give lots of water movement...and if you want get a filter attached with a outake tube to a connected above a water line pvc spray to make a watery rainish like setting
