Putting tanks in Bedroom...is it bad?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
My lady would kill me if I had a tank in the bedroom..."are you looking at that fish!!!!?"

I have a 90 in my basement beedroom and have experienced no ill effects. I have four tanks in my bathroom on a rack (10G & 5G Bottom shelf, 20G Long Middle Shelf and 20G High top shelf) and the same can not be said for the bathroom deal. I don't like it when my fish seem to be watching me poop at all! I might have to take to hanging a set of drapes to draw to get a private constitutional from these sickos!

Come to think of it, my health has increased substantially ever since I'd the tank in my room.. I'm usually prone to pneumonia but it's history now & I'm thankful for it..

I know of some adverse health effects. When I had my 135 above me behind my bed I almost drowned when my clown knife (who has since been relocated to the 300) splashed water in my mouth when I was asleep.

I have tons of tanks in my apartment and I agree with everyone, I can't sleep if I am home with no water running. The silence is louder than the noise. Ever so often when the power goes out when I am asleep I will wake up immediately because it is so quiet.

How does the tank even explode in the first place.... lmao

Baseball bat, brick, strong firecrackers, I'm sure there are many ways to make it explode... On accident though, I'm not sure :D :P.

I wouldn't do it man, I know a dude who put a tank in his room and BOOM herpes. So yah, it's a bad idea.

 yeah, mine gave me AIDS.

No, but really, I have one in my room and now I can't sleep without hearing the waterfall, but my family complains about the smell (they say it smells like a fish store) but I must have gotten used to it because I can't smell a thing. :D

Do it, it's peaceful and nice. I have a small planted 10g in my bedroom on my study desk and whenever I'm doing hw and need a break, I don't have to walk all the way to my living room to see the 40 CA :)

Be careful of the sound of water causing you to pee all over yourself accidently when you sleep. Oops

That's exactly what I'm experiencing.. now I do more frequent water change so they don't nag me that much.. :grinno:

How are your rooms smelling from just one small tank in your room? I have a 50+ and a hospital tank in my bedroom. I can barely even smell the water if i put my nose to it. You either need to take better care of the water, of clean your damn room.
