PVC for fish tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I dont think even white pvc lets too much light through not 100% on that. Most of your light is probably coming from the entrance and the outside of the tank. If you wanted to mitigate this, you could make a small cover for the outside of the glass that wouldnt let too much light in, and you could easily remove to view. Then maybe glue some fake plants to the entrance, or use some larger rocks to cover most of it, making the cave a bit longer. Just bouncing some ideas off ya, great idea!

That’s actually a really good idea, to make a cover for the outside of glass as a removable viewing panel. Most of the time the light in my room is off and I just light the room up with my tv and 2 fish tanks. I’m a lot extra when it comes to making things so if I do make a panel it’s gonna be one strange mechanism and I already have an idea for it ? this is gonna be one interesting project. For now I’m just gonna stick a bit of black paper between the glass and plastic rim on the bottom

I made a similar cover for one of my ant colonies, but i designed it on fusion 360 then 3d printed it lol. Much easier then actually building something, at least in my case lmao.
