PVC question

I bought some plumbing pipe, PVC I assumed though I'm not aware of the finer points on this stuff. Meant it to be a hideaway for my fire eel but it turns out the stuff floats. Is there pipe that will stay down? Any other ideas for hiding spots that keep a fish somewhat visible?

that's probably not pvc piping! i dont kno what else would be sold besides pvc! what is the diameter? 1in? 1in should definetly float!

What color is it? If it's black it's probably ABS and will float unless you weigh it down.

i agree. there is a light core abs which floats........ime all pvc sinks !

white or grey pvc pipe.... ask or its should say PVC on the side

I think the schul 40 is the pipe wall thickness,& could also aply to abs
