So, does anyone else have a problem with their Python faucet adapters breaking on a regular basis? It seems like about every 2-3 months I have to go buy a new one because the top male adapter piece cracks and starts to leak.

Does anyone else have this problem? Have you found a brand that is less prone to this? Are there any modifications I can make or metal versions I can buy? I just get sick of spending $8-10 every two months on a cheap little plastic piece, you know?

i have had mine for a few years now and only had that part break once and that was because i pulled a little to hard on it reaching a tank.

Mine broke after 3 years and I replaced it with the aqueon equivalent. Seems to be better but you can't take the hose off of it

I use the lee's Brand. I also switched out the faucet adapter for a metal one the day I got it because I was afraid of striping the plastic threads.

I use a Lee's brand, and I use a metal faucet adapter, but that top plastic female threaded piece is what always breaks. If I don't tighten it enough, it leaks, but if I tighten it so it doesn't leak, it eventually gets overstressed and cracks. I have yet to find a single place local or online that sells just that female threaded piece, so I always have to buy a new one.

I included a pic with the part that breaks circled in black...

Never had a problem with mine.

i have that blue one as well. ditched the green one. mine breaks every two months from stress crack. what breaks is the cone park under the female part that screws onto the metal part that goes on the faucet. i think there junk.

I thought you meant the actual faucet adapter part at first. I get what your saying. I'm on my second. It would spray out a bit every time so I would have to screw it on more and strip the threads on it to where it wouldn't even screw on. I just buy more unfortunately.
