Python Molurus Bivittatus

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
u dont have to wait till hes shed to feed, u can give it a go but if he refuses then its just coz hes in shed. all of mine take their food when their in shed....except one but its a ball lol so i hardly take it to heart.
but burms r usually dustbins lol so doubt u will have that worry.
lol 1" already, lovely. mines grown 1.5ft since iv had him, which is 4 or 5 months lol at least u grow with him and learn his temprement etc.

no u dont have to use any vit or mineral boosters, everythings in the food. some sunlight doesnt go amiss every now and again, although they dont need uv it can be good for them every now and again.

thats the joy of snakes lol heat mat, viv, water, hide, newspaper for substrate and food. i think they r possibly the cheapest animal to have.

OK I'll try a litlle rat on him later. Thanks for the info!
And I agree about being the cheapest pets, I've should have started with herps
a long while ago!
But ey, everyday a new day. :D

Its been raining hard over here, good news is I've got loads of pools
on my terrace, and with some waterhyacints, a perfect hideout for all my
sundwellers.
Only thing is my cat. He doesnt know where to go anymore.
Tegu here, Snapper there, Python everywhere.
But Im on the side of my Cat on this, cause were both mammals.

Right :D

Was Yesterday at my LRS, to review his progress.
I was unsure about his shedding. Took so long. So the guy said to bring
my Python over some time next week, to see if there are parasites or
any other kinda problem with him.

But tonight he shedded. In one piece, eyes and all.
And I measured him and noticed he's no 36" anymore...
hes 4" longer than three weeks back. 40.5".
Nothin' of a growth problem with this snake!
's gonna be a biggie!
Here he still had to shed, but was allready over 1 meter:

Gonna get me a Red Tail Boa very shortly, and also one of these days a Green Anaconda.

Thnx!

41+", see the 'mercedes' sign, half way its body?:

The bricks underneath his pool are for easy maintenance.

A happy snake:

A hungry snake:

I told him it was the wrong end. He wanted to listen, but couldnt.

Btw: Can a snake be happy?

Yeah its a bit of a hassie to refresh every two days, but Im gonna (re)place the same typo bath with my Teju.
It pays back in the handsomeness of the animals.

:headbang2

he is gooorgeous!!!

yes snakes can b happy. not looked after, dirty living space, not handled, no heated properly....VERY unhappy snake. (handling doesnt make a diff but will b more aggressive obviously lol)

he looks happy, hes got everything he needs.
glad hes doing so well for u

Thnx!
Still not satisfied with herps happiness. I mean really happy?
Dont expect to see a smile appear, I guess my question is do snakes have emotions?

Chloe, what do you mean with 1.1 refering to your pets?
I see more people describe their animals like that, but do not understand.
