The speed of a siphon is dictated by two details...
A) The difference in elevation between the surface of the water being siphoned off & the surface of the water the siphon is feeding (or the elevation of the outlet, whichever is higher)...
B) The diameter of the siphon hose...
Those of you who use the faucet to start the siphon but feel the siphon is too slow without the use of the faucet... I suggest you try starting the siphon the same way, then disconnect the hose from the faucet, plug the end with your thumb and lower it to the toilet.
Increasing the difference in elevation in this way will considerably speed up the siphon without wasting an excessive amount of water.

i have a question. in my bathrooom sink the faucet is very not your normal faucet head so do they sell like a unaversial connectig thing?
