I've been looking into getting the Python No spill Clean N' Fill my only concern is the chlorine. Normally I put the water in a 5 gallon bucket add instant declore too it and then add the water to the tank. My water is straight from lake Michigan so there isn't much chlorine in it, but still. How much of a difference would it make for the fish by putting the water straight into the tank and adding the declore to the tank?

I have always added Prime straight to the tank w/ no problems. I have never gone without a Python.

aqueon is selling a setup that is like the python. What's really different is the pump that hooks to your faucet. It is much better, imo. You can buy it separately and it fits the python tubing. I would not be without one or the other--they make water changes so easy...

Even if I had to pour the water back in with a bucket it'd be nice to be able to siphon the water straight out into the sink. I hate having to stop the siphon right before the bucket over fills.

python is good for filling a tank, but the water it wastes for siphoning is pretty bad. i use a regular Lees gravel vac with extended hose out the window or garage, and fill back up with the water hose. i always add prime before i fill up too.

i drain with a mag 12 and fill with a python.

check out my thread "How long does it take for dechlorinator to kill chlorine" I felt the same way at first. Now I own two pythons.

When using the python, you only turn the faucet on long enough to get the siphon going. You are supposed to turn it off after the siphon is established and let gravity do its thing.

That only works if the siphon is draining below from where the tank is sitting.

where did you guys order your pythons from?
