Python on loose!

What really sucks is my girlfriend has a cat. I've tried to keep him in the yard. He's always bringing moles, birds and anything else he can catch to the doorsteps. I know i'm going to walk out the door one morning to see my baby ball gutted on the steps. I never should have turned my back on his cage. Was cleaning and got in a hurry.
 
Thats too bad. I would feel more confident if it was bigger. Then it would turn on that pesky little cat. Haha jp. But I hope you find him soon.

I have heard of putting tin foil around the edges of the room. They'll usually stick to the corners when they move, so with the tinfoil there you can hear them rustle it around. I've never had to try it, but it sounds like it would be worth a shot.
 
i learned this on accident...

i put duct tape in my corn snake cage, and my snake got stuck on its eye and body, then i consulted a vet of course, and he said that this is what he reccomends for catching a loose snake...

instead of foil use duct tape, then when you find the snake caught on the tape, cut off the tape that is not connected to his body, then the next time he sheds, the tape comes off, no damage done

i didnt listen, and soaked my snake in water and pulled the tape off, was scared, but even the eye is okay
 
I had a young ETB escape once, and I caught it by cooling the house down and placing heating pads in every room. Got it in a few hours... I think that now in the summer the heating pad gambit won't work unless you pay for the energy to cool the house down...I went to 65 degrees,and it cost me. I also worried a little about my snake getting cold, but I don't think 65 is anywhere near low enough to do damage, especially when it's just for a few hours.
