Python posibley got lice

If its almost pinhead sized, its a mite. Bigger bugs on snakes are ticks. Was it just crawling or was it in one spot and hard to get off? Either way, for each mite or tick, lets say theres another hundred. Hahaha, anyway, good luck.

Provent-a-mite - It runs about $20 plus shipping, will last you forever, and is the #1 most effective method of erradicating mites and ticks from reptiles. Follow the directions closely and kiss your bugs goodbye forever.

For every one mite you see, there's probably another 20 you don't see, and another 2000 eggs and larvae from those adults. Provent-a-mite kills mites at all stages of its lifecycle.

Sounds like a sales pitch? Its not - this stuff is the **** and I swear by it to protect my collection.

Yeah, one of the few not bogus products at Petco! Nice advice. My friend saved his whole collection (dumerils, sav, anaconda, beardies, leos, 6 redtails, tokay, and tons tons more) from a mite infestation with the stuff. Althought the silly 13 year old had to get rid of most of it anyway...

Elevatethis, I think me and you are gonna have some nice debates! >=D This forum is great for them, you guys fight back! hahaha

It was bigger than a pin head. I'm gonna have another look at him today and sort out some stuff. Also can these mite? Or ticks hurt him or kill him?

A heavy infestation can cause anemia, dehydration, and death, and any infestation at all will cause discomfort to the snake. Plus, mites are suspected vectors of inclusion body disease, an incurable terminal disease of boas and pythons.

If you saw one adult mite, I PROMISE you that there's a bunch of eggs or larvae in the enclosure just waiting to become adults and start feeding on your snake again.

If I got an animal with mites or ticks from a pet store, I would never walk into that place ever again. That says a lot about the quality, or lack thereof, of the animals they have and the care that they are receiving.
