For whatever it's worth, if you aren't changing to a new/clean filter, don't bother changing the water either. Any parasite living in the water from the other fish will be in your filter as well.

Personally, I only treat known issues in rays. No need to mix meds and dose them for things they might not have.
 
for all my rays i quarentine for 90 days. daily water change of 60-75%. power feed the whole time!

No problems with using prazi with maracyn.

But maracyn is a antibiotic and it will kill of your biological bacteria the same as any harmful bacteria.

If they come in free of any wounds and no sign of skin infections then I would not use the maracyn antibiotic.

Usually Quarintine of wild caught specimens consists of parasite treatment, salt to help with stress and slime coat, and a antifungal such as jungle labs fungus clear only if needed. If there is no sign of infection.
