Q on sand

coarser meaning pool filter sand, that would be so much quicker, cleaning and stirring at the same time

The same coarseness or even larger grains than filter sand, I use river sand. Has some little pebbles and driftwood and I think I've even got a tiny freshwater mussel shell in there, I love the look of it.

Pool filter sand can be dark, even black. It depends on from where it is mined.
