cichla are nothing compared to an emp. they will get shredded, maybe pinima and orino's are aggressive for cichla but they aren't aggressive for cichlids emps on the other hand areermgravy;2420189; said:lol u ever kept pinima or orino's...

My experience;
I kept a pair that were around 9-10" together for awhile but the male constantly beat on the female so I decided to part with them. My second try I picked up a single 2" specimen. I keep her (my guess) in a mixed 750g without too many issues. She however did not like my hampala barb. After I got rid of the barb she has been very docile for the most part even being pushed around by much smaller african haps. She grew very fast in the first few months averaging 2-2.5" per month before slowing and was 13-14" at 1 year. She is now ~17" and a very impressive fish. They will eat pellets aggressively which is nice. I'm parting with her on Sunday and will miss her.

So it seems a pretty mixed bag... Think its getting tryed tho i will pm trust later... I figure givin the cichla a head start, growing them all out together is best chance 4 a succes... We will see...
