Tanks a good size and setup looks good, but you might want to add just a little more deco for your future puffer to explore around :)

Glad to hear the setup looks good! I was actually thinking about adding more, but wasn't sure if I'd be taking up too much swim space xD. What do you think is best caves, or some vegetation?

In my fahaka tank i've personally gone with a cave type setup made from driftwood and anubias, so probably a cave could be good if your puffer wants some shade...

Okie dokie sounds good, what do you guys think BTW, is it better to get one as a baby or as an adult, attachment vs fragility right Richard issue

For a puffer such as a fahaka, i would probably go for a baby one to start with since they will pretty much grow to 12"+ in the first year, and aren;t as fragile as some might thing, given you give them clean water and a good diet...

The only thing about getting one that small is that you can't be sure it will grow up to be the potential monster you were hoping for, as it seems that even here on MFK, there have been a few members who reported buying a baby Fahaka, but after "x" amount of time its still only at around 4" - 6" which is unusual for a fahaka...

Here is my miracle puffer! I named him Lucky Puffy, because he survived what would be hell on his way here! He was sent off in the morning two nights ago to arrive at 6:30pm the same day, got held over night when it missed the connection (was never called to know otherwise would've driven to get him), was shipped pass the delivery station because noone told me the bus was delayed and couldn't contact anyone, and I was finally able to get him 45 mins away from my house for a total of 26 hours in transit! Happy he is alive and happy, he is one lucky puffy!uploadfromtaptalk1356358340383.jpg

Around 9/10 inches, glad he was that big otherwise I dont think he would've made that journey!
