Well if your puffer ever decides to lay eggs you'll know for sure ;)

The first time my girl laid eggs she was probably around 9 months old and a hair over 10" long

The female will lay eggs even without a male present, it just means the eggs will never be fertile...

The tank looks perfect. If you are getting a small fahaka there is no rush until you have had him for about four months when you should create a cave for a giant fahaka. Mine was ten inches in the attached video and he loves that cave made out of a plastic cake bowl and a lightweight flat stone glued on top of it...should be able to pass through it. Now he is twelve inches and all he needs is that cave, the driftwood and a few 60 cm tall fake plants..make sure to vary his diet for fast growth

I already got the fahaka it's in the pic above lol, had him for like 3 days but he hasn't really eaten anything. I put in a couple snails and he tried to eat it but the shell was too hard, broke it for him but wasn't really interested when it was dead. It looked like it ate some of the muscle but I think it might've been my pleco sucking on it. Will get some live crayfish soon, ghost shrimp tomorrow, and maybe a fiddler crab and see if he's more interested lol.

You don't have to feed it live mine loved frozen blood worms and freeze dryed krill
