It is definitely a turn off but it doesn't bother me too much just dating. I think if we were to ever have kids then he would need to quit for sure.

Not a deal breaker for me, but I do not allow smoking in my car or my apartment. I do still occationally smoke (the few times a year I actually get to go out). I work in a smoking office, and it does stay on your cloths/ hair, when I get home I usually take a shower before snuggling my son.

I guess there would be a few exceptions, but if I can't be around you without smelling like cigarette smoke, then i'm all set.
I smoked for 36 yrs and quit 1 1/2 yrs ago, The smell is nauseating to me now.
But dating isn't black or white and if someone makes the decision based on only whether the guy/girl is a smoker then that's not really the kind of person you want to date anyway, is it?

It's a huge turn off for me too. I quit years ago and I can't stand the smell now. It makes my nose all stuffy and my eyes burn. But if I really liked someone that wouldn't keep me away. I would just try to get them to quit. I would never live with someone who smoked in the house though.

I would have trouble trying to build a life with someone with such a dangerous habit. I have lost family members to lung cancer from years of smoking, and I would not want to lose a significant other the same way.
never mind all the other problems with it like the odour, yellow teeth, smoker's breath, cost of the habit etc etc.
I have mild asthma as well, and cigarette smoke makes me wheezy.

If i see a stunningly attractive woman and they pull out a cigarette and start smoking i just cringe and mutter suchhh a shame to myself, an instant turn off.
I may date a smoker depending on how they were as a person, but it would definitely have a negative impact on my first impression of that person. I would also try my hardest to get them to stop and i wouldnt be letting them smoke in my precious car lol
So it probably wouldnt work out anyway hahaha
