It would be different if they were only affecting themselves. Cigarettes affect everyone around. Chew the gum or something.

Maybe I just feel so strongly about because I used to smoke. I don't know...

I just hate it now that every time I come home I smell my clothes and hair and they reak... The worst part is that it's not my fault, it's other people's.

Just playing. Kinda. Depends how much you like them and also how much they smoked. I know people who have one, two or three or day, then others that chainsmoke. Probably wouldn't with the latter.
 
Let's face it, people who smoke have an addiction. Why would any person without an addiction want to date or marry a person with an addiction? An addict does not have total control over his or her life. The drug that they are addicted to, has partial control over every aspect of their life. They can't function without the drug of choice.Throughout the day, the addict has to get a fix. With smokers, the drug is nicotine. Some might laugh because I'm comparing nicotine to heroin, cocaine and alcohol, but they are all drugs . . .Some even feel that addiction is a sign of mental weakness . . . No offense to smokers, but I think so.
