What kind of return pump do u think i should getA single 4L/1Gal bucket would be more than enough.
Does it matter that my main drain is 2 1/4" XDWell....the tank is 110 gallons. You want 8-10 times overflow if you plan to have moderate stock (CA cichlids, Pleco's). So you want the pump/pumps to output 800-1000 GPH. So get a pump that'll do that--Laguna makes a Max-Flo that does 600, 960, and 1350.
Doesn't have to be Laguna. There's LOTS of aquarium pumps that'll fit the bill. Price 'em and get the best value. Eheim makes good submersible pumps. Lots of choices out there for this size pump.
XD is just a happy face sideways and my main drain is 2 1/4" and my emergency drain is 1.5" i think i have to double check when i get homeDrain size ALWAYS matters. You have to size your pump to the amount of water the drain (s) can drain. If not, you'll flood the tank. So what size drains do you have? Is that two quarter inch drains, or is that a single 2 inch drain? What does "XD" mean?
