Question about lighting a 125g aquarium

8" should be plenty....heat shouldnt be an issue w/8"clearance... unless you house stays 85+f....
Sweet. I live in Florida, so it does get hot, but I have my AC set to keep the house at 78 degrees. So we should be good there.

with 8"clearance even the occasional air stone for o2 shouldn't be an issue ... BUT KEEP AN EYE ON YOU FIXTURE when these occasions arise... you never know for sure ,conditions MAY cause some water/ rust damage... but I am 90% sure youwill be fine... I am 100% on safety of the no air stone tank being safe(I run a couple tanks w /open water and t-8 lites

Thanks for the advice. Definitely been helpful in make final decisions on the canopy build. I should have the materials together and begin building in a couple of weeks. I will try to remember to post pics of the finished product.

Been some financial delays in the project. I hate unexpected bills. LOL
