Question for Aquaclear users.

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thanks aaronb. I appreciate your apoligy and comment. I now understand where your coming from. It was informative to know that the sponge is hard to clean thorougly and your personal reliability issues with aquaclears. I figured out quickly that MFK is not the place to get unbiased answers about aquaclears and agree that I should take it for "what its worth". It's gotta be a good HOB if so many people back them up with such confidence and success - just gotta work around the flaws, which seem to be quite feasible. I'm happy with the Fluval C4's I bought as they really do have most of the flaws with the aquaclears worked out. I just wish they made a larger model.

Yeah I looked up the c series filters. They look pretty cool. If I ever have the need I might try one someday. Trying to stick with canisters and sumps now and occasionally use a hob in emergency.

English major? Must have not yet gotten to the part in your studies where the use of a paragraph is explained.

LOL. Bderrick. I guess not. You want me to write in paragraph form? Okay, from now on I will use paragraphs. I was always "lazy" and did the paragraphing after I wrote out my thoughts. I didn't think it was that important to you and that anyone was grading me on MFK. LMAO.:ROFL:Oh wait, it wont let me put the space in front of the paragraphs. LOL. Improper paragraphing style do I get a lower grade?

Don't be mad because you dont know what laziness really means and can't come up with anything to write over a few sentences. LOL.

Thanks aaronb. I will definitely have to try out an aquaclear 110 on my larger tanks. I don't use canisters because of my personal experiences with past leaking issues/reliability over the long term. I would love a sump but I don't really have room for a decent one (on the tanks I could use a sump) or can't justify using one for a certain tank and/or fish load.
