Question for the Concealed Carry guys - holster options

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I highly reccomend this holster! I have one for my full frame Springfield XD and can carry it with my shirt tucked in and the fact that it conceals a 5in barrel gives it my seal of approval. I have had mine for a few years now and no issues and I believe they have a lifetime guarantee!

Does the big hunk of leather bother you? What about when you sit down? Doesn't dig into your hip?

Crossbreed super tuck. I carry my XD sub everyday once it's broke in there's nothing that compares to it. (Mines in horsehide)

When you are just running to the store and don't want to go through putting it on I use a simple IWB soft uncle mikes holster I've had for 10 years.

Thanks, that's actually what I was planning on! The Supertuck and a sock holster like Uncle Mike's :)

Ok since you begged for pics... :)

Here's my baby:

Haha nice! I have the XD in .45, great gun. I'll be carrying that to start off. I'm thinking about the Glock 27 in OD green as my carry gun, to have a little variety :)

1. F the .40 - Go with 9 or .45 none of that in-between crap

2. Make sure you shoot that small of a gun first. I hate the 26, absolutely. A 19 is as small as I will go. My XD SC is great, I love it.

3. Good luck finding an "od" glock (It's really coyote/desert tan) - They are rare and usually expensive because of that. Just have a black gun done up with cerakote. (Duracoat is a joke)

What's wrong with the .40 S&W? If the color is hard to find, then I'll get it in black, no biggie. My buddy has the Glock 26 (9mm) so I'll have to give his a try before I pull the trigger, no pun intended.

Just not a fan of the round.

Go 9mm for cheap ammo and higher capacity, go .45 for stopping power. Really depends on what you shoot best. I'm a 9mm guy but I actually shoot .45 better. lol

I love to blow through a lot of rounds at the range so most of my guns are 9mm for the cheap ammo.

It all comes down to shot placement anyway.

I love the Glock tan guns, I looked for one for awhile. I'm picking up a new 19 this weekend and plan on having it coated with cerakote in the desert tan.

I use a generic IWB holster when carrying my duty weapon (S&W M&P 9) in plain clothes. I had to get some baggier shirts so the bulge doesn't show. I like the idea of getting a small frame weapon (smaller than a sub compact S&W, XD, or Glock) and using a pocket holster.
