Question for the Concealed Carry guys - holster options

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Yeah, same here...I have some HP's by Anguila called I.Q. which are supposed to break off into three large chunks after penetration to cause more tissue damage.Don't know if it just hype or not and I hope to never have to put them to the test.

Ah the old "Cop Killer" bullet.

Haven't read up on them much. It's an old design and was actually banned from being imported for a number of years. I know they were only available in .45 for a long time. Not sure about currently.

I'm grabbing the 12 gauge

Yup. Handgun is while I'm carrying. At home it's a Remington 870 with 3" Magnum 00 buckshot.

Go with a 9mm or .45 cause it SUCKS shooting .40 in a sub compact.

I too do not like .40. Its a bit snappy and I am simply just not as accurate with it. Because of that and the price I dont see any advantage over 9mm.

I like .45 but its $$$. A shooter can shoot 4-5 more rounds of 9mm to 1rd of .45 for the same money. For the dollar you are getting ALOT more trigger time which is big in SD situations. Not to mention you can carry alot more ammo as well.

Im eyeing a serpa for likly a glock 29. 10mm  but I need something secure as I dont plan on covering. I need to get on it, with the recent threats on my life.

Dude, you should take the drive up to Grice Gun Shop in Clearfield, PA and check out what they have; they're the main distributor for guns and ammo for PA and have some pretty good deals, too.

Also, you may as well get your PA concealed carry license since it just requires a quick easy application, and you can't get turned down even if the local police are prejudiced against you since they are required to approve you unless they can prove that you're disqualified based on the law.

We in PA have licence to carry firearms. No conceal

i'd go with the shoulder holster wearing casual jeans and a white tee lol

Interesting, I didn't know that about the .40. My Springfield XD is in .45. Fun to shoot, but the gun is too bulky for everyday carry, hence looking for a sub-compact. And yeah .45 is expensive ammo!!
