1. I realize I could go on a gun forum and ask for opinions, but I like hearing from people from all walks of life, and I like variety. :)

2. Please don't come in here and ask stupid things like "geez, where do you live that you need to carry a gun? I only need my fists for protection." No offense, but I'll take my sense of protection over your sense of pride any day ;)
So I'm begining the process of my CCW application and I'm looking at carry options. I'm not a skinny guy, so I don't want to have to buy clothes that will make me appear larger than I already am!

With that in mind, how do you guys carry? For casual everyday dress with jeans and an un-tucked shirt, I'm sure an inside-waistband holster will work fine. Now, what brands do you recommend? Carry weapon will most likely be a supcompact Springfield XD.

Now, what about business casual dress; slacks and a tucked in shirt? How the heck do you conceal then? Ankle holster (don't really like the idea of this one)? Any brand recommendations?

Thanks!

Never carry mine when I'm dressed up. With casual carry, I go with one like this.

Do you ever conceal it? Or does your shirt cover it? I have a similar paddle holster for my XD, the Blackhawk Serpa

My uncle who is a police officer has his gun clipped onto his belt when he is in casual wear with his badge and it looks awesome! Im going to school to become a arson investigator so im going to be rocking that look in the field in the near future ahah! :grinno:

Yeah, that's what I would need. How do you like that one?

I like the style and it does well. It can be a bit much to deal with if you have a full frame though. With your subcompact, I think you will like it.

Of course, if I'm feeling all hardcore, I go with the shoulder holster.

These guys has some really nice gear

Yeah they do. I'll keep these in mind, thx. I forgot to mention, but I'm also a Lefty, which makes it harder to finder a holster for my gun!

Haha double shoulder holster might be a bit much. No way I could conceal that.

Move to Indy and then you don't have to worry about whether it is seen or not. :D
