Question number 2 million about stocking a 75g (aka i have no idea what directiin to go with my tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
As already pointed out, lots of cichlids have a character and personality. It's not just oscars and amphs that show these traits.
Angelfish I have found to get very interactive with their keepers. As duanes said,a lot can depend on how the keeper treats his /her fish.
Regular hand feeding will make them become very tame like.
I would recommend a male sajica.Thwy are a nice size for a 75 and become very keeper responsive over time.
I am glad the op is going down the right Road of asking questions and taking on-board the advise given. Its commendable to ask and learn and not just buy the wrong fish just because they want it.
I also agree with Rd that puffer fish are ideal for someone seeking a wet pet. They have loads of personality and some of the smaller species don't need huge tanks.South American puffers are a fresh water species that a reasonably easy to care for.

I like the south american freshwater puffer fish quite a bit. The downside is they can be very nippy towards tankmates and you would have to be willing to do some fish dental work. I moved my Colomesus asellus out of a community into a species only tank. I find them to be extremely personable and you could have a very nice group in a 75.

Another option I don't think was mentioned is the festivum. Very cool fish similar to angels, and a group would do well in a 75.

GT get very colorful, but I would put them in the same category as p.pollini and JD as far as tank requirements. Personally I think it would be fine as a solo fish, but I might change my mind if I saw a really large one in a 75.

Yeah I agree on the festivums, nice fish to keep.
After keeping a large green terror I would not recommend them for a 75.They get too big and are very active fish that need swimming space.
