QUESTION ON MARBLE MOTOROS

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Here's Dad.
Like i said he's in his 13th year now,i took these photos 5 minutes ago,i reckon this proves that nice Marbles can and do retain their beauty throughout their entire lives.

I know that my marbles are not anywhere near your guys class, but was curious as to whether you think they are larger, or smaller variant Marbles. They are approximately 10-11 inches, two years old and the male is fully mature now.b

Female is first pic and male is second.

Shadow it would help if you could snap a pic that shows the males claspers. the pattern is intense but its hard to say. It is also interesting to see that they are that light and you have them on black sand. I think we are all still hopping and stipulating so to say weather or not even WE have the smaller variants is a stretch at best.

Aquaman you have some great fish, I have always admired your rays! My rays pattern is only getting more and more intense in my opinion. His growth rate is not all that crazy and I do large WC weekly and feed very well. His growth seems slow for a fish that may potentially reach well over 30"... But I suppose only time will tell. I think the idea that there may be a smaller variant is fantastic! I mean its just so hard to think that all these MM we are seeing are all the same fish, they just have such striking differences.

May be different varient but that is not that large tho but i would just be guessing...

Shadow- Your Marbles seem to keep looking nicer everytime I see them.

They have the links, or fingers in the perimeter. I'd say similar to Aquaman's. I think this is roughly the same as the majority of the JimR pups. Yours have very similar perimeter markings to the lil male I have here from Jim. I'd take a wild stab at 12-18"?? I'd guess not a midget, but yet not on the larger side either.

Just a wild guess.......

I think it's hard to compare any Marbles to Aquaman's. They're in another realm. Truley stand out exaples of the highest grade.

Regarding what type of rays shadows are i would agree with you 100% Alan, you have a good eye for Marbles, this can only be achieved by an intense interest in the species and lots of hands on experience.

Really like your Marbles shadow, the rings around the spots are very thick,at this stage the marbling could go either way i think, what ever happens you will finish up with two very nice looking Marbles, the outer chainlink is also impressive with these rays......my gut feeling is the marbling will intensify with age,my Marbles were slow developers, took well over 2years to look the way they do.

Thanks for the vote of confidence on my Marbles everyone, your all so complimentary...appreciated!

Great thread Hulon.
