I started with a 20 gal and three months later i bought my 180 gal...

That is another fast jump ... How does it feel making that big of a jump in terms of maintenance and just basic husbandry of bigger fish ? That big of a jump would have definitely shocked me as my tank size upgrades were all gradual ( not counting my big pond).

went from 55 to 125, 125 is the max the space would hold, i would have gone much larger, the larger the tank, the larger the fish.

Im afraid of asking you what kind of fish you keep. Is it arowanas?

I went from a 55 to 240, but I did have the 55 for 3-4 years.

when i was a child about 8 years old i had a 10 gal for a year or two and then i had no fish untill i was about 19 and started with a 55 and quickly moved to a 150 and up now i ahve a could 300 ..if you want to count my pond it's about 30,000

Had a 10 gal for years when I was a kid.
none in high school or college
55 right out of college
2 yrs later 120
2 yrs later 360
that was 1 year ago, so at this pace I'll have to get a 1000 by next year! (in my dreams:ROFL: )

Went from a 10 to two 29's and a 20, upgraded one of the 29's to a 55, will be upgrading the other 29 to another 55 soon.

I started with a 10 for my daughters, that turned into 2 10's. then a 55 and a 30 a month later. 2 months later came the 125 DIY and a 75. and then about 3 months later came my 220, Since i moved to japan i got a 100g, 40g, and my latest tank is a 180.

I went from a 55 to a 125. I did that becasue I have 5 Red Belly's that needed a bigger home. I now have 2 breeding pairs of convicts in the 55 and Red Belly's in the 125. If you can afford/have room for a large tank, do it, it's well worth it.
