I don't know a thing about oscars, but a tank that i might buy comes with one, since my puffers are not enjoying being brackish, i'm going back to freshwater, but will this fish eat my puffers? the only thing i know about the oscar is it is 8"

Yep. There are a lot of fish that will eat anything they can fit in their mouths,
Oscars will actually eat stuff that doesn't even fit in their mouth. :WHOA:

How big are the puffers? How big is the tank that they would share?

55 gallon, my GSP's are roughly 1"

I wouldn't risk it:eek: Oscars are definitely big eaters and will eat just about anything

Okay, thanks :)

If the Oscar is 8" and your puffers are 1" only put the Oscar in if you dont want puffers anymore.

I had some small Oscars, maybe 3-4" and they would eat 3" plecos constantly haha. I had 6, ended up with 2. I would walk by the tank and there is one Oscar with the head of a Pleco in his mouth...rat ba$tard haha

GSP's require salt. It's a must for them to live a health full life. They are born in freshwater then migrate to brackish then to full marine when they are adults. What do you mean they're not liking brackish? If you have any questions about puffers especially GSP's (my favorite puffer by the way) ask Pufferpunk. She's on here sometimes and know's everything about puffers.

Also you could trade in the oscar to big als for store credit.

They have some in their tank now, but when i try to get it to 1.012 all of a sudden one is acting sickly, that is the only thing that has changed with their tank..
