I have a 120 gallon tank that has been setup for about 2 weeks now with a new FX5.I want to get my jag out of the 55 he is in right. I plan on using the established HOB for a little while on on the 120 gallon and I have also bought some Bacteria supplement How long should I wait to put him in the tank he will be the only fish in there. I have also tested the water and everything looks good.

Move him and all his current filtration at the same time and there should be no problems. Keep the filters from his 55 on there for at least three weeks. There is no need for extra bacterial supplements (which usually do nothing anyays).

What type of HOB does he currently have?>

I have also tested the water and everything looks good.

In what?
The 55g or the 120g.
The 120g can`t be tested without something in the tank, other than water.
Unless your water supply has some ammonia in it all your doing is circulating water.
If it were me, I wouldn`t even worry about the media from the HOB, or running it on the new tank.
I would think your HOB has very little bacteria available and that the bulk of your biological activity is in the 55g.
With a single fish going into the tank, testing and WC would get your tank cycled.
Bottled miracle bacteria, probably would not hurt, but not having ever used it I can`t say it would help.

I have been trying to get some sort of cycle out of the tank using some shrimp so I did test the water in the 120 just to see where it was at. I have put my jag in there and he seems to be doing fine thanks for the help I will post some pics soon.

I would move him now.

If you move the water from the 55 into the new tank then it will be similar to doing a large water change, and as long as you move the filters and media over at least temporaraly then you shouldn't have any problems.

Chances are that the 125 won't be totally cycled, even if you transfer filters/water/gravel or whatever. The cycling process will perhaps be shorter and less intense. I would transfer the fish and keep an eye on ammonia/nitrites reading. Keep a Prime bottle at hand and be ready to water change whenever it is necessary.
