Questions about Carinotetraodon travancoricus

Actually almost all puffer lose their toxicity once they've been kept as a pet for long enough, its has something to do with what they eat in their natural environment that helps them produce high doses of TTX from my understanding...
Dwarf puffers now a days im sure are mostly captive bred since ita not too difficult with some patience and care
You can get Amazon hatchet fish, Gasteropelecus spp. They are also quite intriguing top dwellers, but they are highly active and are not a danger to your puffers. I no longer keep them because I have never gotten one to a year of age, they mostly die after a few months, and the guy in my lfs says its normal. If I'm not breeding therm, and they only last six months, I don't want them. You might like them, though.
Used to have some, used to lose some to jumping, but I find them ugly as hell. 
To each their own I guess, puffers are only beautiful if you like oddballs which I do!
May consider halfbeaks for upper part of the tank, will remind me of my gars... In a way.
I'm dead set on puffers, and I want Otocinclus to make sure algae stay under control, though with how heavily planted it'll be, i'm not too worried.
My biggest problem is that when I don't find what I want, I tend to substitute, but I want this tank perfect, so I gotta hold the urge!

halfbeak males tend to injure each other. They may not in a 90, but I would want to keep a male and 2-3 females in a 30-55 if I was going to keep them.May consider halfbeaks for upper part of the tank, will remind me of my gars... In a way.

Otos can make really expensive puffer food, unless I am guessing wrong. I would just throw in some ramshorns or moon or pond or assasin snails and if some get munched on, well they're just snails.

Ottos definitely work with pea puffers...
And halfbeaks can be hit or miss but are usually okay if the puffers are kept well fed, although i did once have a pea puffer go after all my 3 halfbeaks beaks which ended up about half the length, but they could still eat fine...
Just wanted to pass on what happened ime, so you could decide if its worth the risk...
Because we often forget, just cause they are small, does not mean they cant do fair damage to other slightly larger fish...
