it must be stressed from the larger fish but keep in mind that once he's settled he will probably attack and/or kill your other fish as festaes are usually very territorial

i meant once he get's bigger especially as aro's aren't that confrontational and will probably die from stress from banging into the glass if attacked
As long as he is not getting picked on I would leave him where he is. Moving him from tank to tank may stress him out more then he already is.Letsgometsreyes;995525; said:

They tend to be slow growers no matter what you do. If I were you, I'd move the festae to the 55 asap and keep him there until he puts more size on, like in the neighborhood of 8". So the aro won't be able to eat him. Or you can keep him in there like you're doing and take the risk.
