Thanks all for the advice! Concerns about the cichlid pair noted. Since I’m planning on getting a small group of young polleni and growing out a pair, I’ll watch carefully for any overt aggression. This tank is in my living room so it almost always has eyes on it. Maybe a dither/target fish would help? No idea what else but don’t really want to add much to the tank, at the point after keeping up with 21 clowns plus tankmates that I’d like some low maintenance time. For air, I run two big sponge filters in all my tanks with a whisper 300 pump. Is that enough or should I get another stone? I may do the canopy thing anyway, it has the chance of keeping the wife happy with looking better lol.
Ive got a 180 and put a canopy on it, works great. I covered the back with egg crate, I've got polys/ ropes no issues.
