I saw some Tadpoles in Petland Discounts and they are like a dollar each.

I am not sure what kind of frogs they will turn into later on.

But my main question is how do you raise a healthy Tadpole?

I have a 75 Gallon with native fish such as (Largemouth Bass, Channel Cat,Bluegill) Im pretty sure the Tadpole would be lunch a split second if I dropped him in there.

I also have a 30 Gallon tank with 4 Goldfish (The big round ones).
Could I keep the Tadpole in the 30 gallon with the Goldfish????

I mean I know ones he becomes a frog he's going to have to have his own private aquarium.

But mainly what I need to know is:

What pH do they thrive in?
Can I feed him Spirulina Discs?

Thank you:headbang2

I have seen them in petland in the feeder tank for 12 cents each.

They generally turn into the aquatic clawed frogs if im correct, but I dont think there is any way to be sure.

(PS- Do you know who your sig is quoting?)

I always thought they were Bullfrog tadpoles.

As long as they are larger than your goldfishes mouths, they'll be ok in the 30 gallon... They eat goldfish flakes and boiled lettuce strips. Good luck!

He was still a good leader with a great cause. Unlike the Communist Left wing idiots that should have been all destoyed.

In any case I dont want to veer off topic and have my thread shut down.

I just got the 2 Tadpoles today and they are ok so far. Im gonna try to feed them tomorrow morning and experiment to see what they like and dont like.

I fed my goldfish this morning their flakes and to my surprise the flakes that hit the bottom got swallowed up by the Tadpoles. They really enjoy Goldfish flakes.

I threw in a small piece of Spirulina disc and when I got home later it was gone. So they seem very well off so far.

One of the tadpoles has a hole opened up on the side of his head, I think an arm might be on its way.....:WHOA:

Bullfrog tadpoles are large, about 3 inches long.

Either way, you can raise them in just about anything - when I was a kid I'd catch them and put them in a gold fish/betta bowl.
