1 tube of 10.1 oz at 3/16 bead will do 50 linear feet thats wut it says on the back of the tube of the GE I thats like taking a 50 ft long peice of glass and running 1 straight 3/16 bead all the way down it, that would take one tube to do that , for my tank bead im gonna run the bead like how it looks in the pic i posted above and with my tank dimensions that = out to 23ft of 3/16 bead to be used out of 50ft of silicone in a tube give and take a few blobs prolly 30ft out of 50 used all together

with a 1/8" bead you will only be able to do the seams, you still need one tube to do the inside seam, so you WILL NEED 4 tubes to be somewhat safe... 1.5 tubes will go to just do the inside seam, and 1-1.5 will do just the braces..., maybe get 5-6 tubes, and return one if needed...

also will it be ok to do the inside seams with GE I or do you think GE II (w/o bioseal ofcourse) will be better?

I think that the DR. covered this in your other thread... its the same thing, the GE II DOESN'T SHRINK and the GE I shrinks a little...

i got the 4 pack of GE I for the inside seams and braces and i got 1 tube of

to glue the paynes together > running beads like this

i wanna know if the one tube of all aquarium silicone will be enough just so i can get the tank glued together looking like a tank for everything else ( the inside of the tank doing the concave v shapeing the seams and stuff i wanna use GE I

and you will want to tape the corners off. to get a nice and straight seam then remove the tape later...

mesure out about 1/4" from the joint and mask it off, then run a nice bead along the seam and use your finger to smooth it out..., this will give you a nice straight seam. im anal and do it, some people don... some time it looks awsome without taping and sometimes it looks like crap... so why risk it..., turtles like to claw at it like lizards... you may want to go with a good strond bead...

the 1/8" that their talking about us how far apart the peices of glass are away from eachother(with the silicone in between them

its your tank, you can do a 1/32 bead if you want..., the allglass stuff and the GE I is the same thing... like i said in your other thread., and so did others.

smooth it out???? i thought ur suppose to leave the bead as is and then push the glass together leaving a 1/8" inbetween the glass so it isnt touching
