ALOT OF SA/CA FISH ARE IN THE CANALS LAKES OF FLA. I HAVE A WID CAUGHT MAYAN THAT A CLUB MEMBER CAUGHT AT HIS SUMMER HOME AND BROUGHT BACK FOR ME. YOU GOTTA LOVE IT.

yeah being able to catch a jag in your backyard is awesome. so did the little guy acclimate well?

im so jealous of you guys who can go out and catch their stocklist. i know non-natives can be a pain but wow, lucky guys.

good save btw.

Nice save, should turn out to be a nice jag. Ive seen videos on youtube where people are catching some very nice bright orange midas cichlids out of the canals.

When I opened this, I was expecting to see something like, "I went to my local pet store and saw this 10 inch jaguar in a 10 gallon tank and rescued it".

a few months ago, when the Philippines was hit by floods, my friend captured a 15 inch koi in the flooded sidewalk :-) 2 other large kois got away

Yea, hes doing well :). I live in royal palm w2hich is about an hour north of miamai, miami gets more exotics than here and in greater abundance but I can't complain, we dont have any midas cichlids this far north, most abundant here are the Mayans and spotted tilapia, then we have peacock bass(ocellaris) that have made their way up here although are not super abundant yet, oscars, jaguar cichlids (both are fairly rare though but oscars are abundant in the everglades not too far from me), plecostamus, bowfin, and gar. We also carry some cool natives such as warmouth, pumpkinseed, largemouth bass, a number of catfish and bullhead, and gar and bowfin which are native as well.

yea boca isnt much if any different
