Quick question regarding adding Green Terrors to tank, How many at the beginning?!

Want some advice please.

Maybe you folks could suggest a possible catfish/pleco that would be a good addition. If there is a chance that my pair once formed will hurt the other fish or harass it I will pass on the idea as I don't like watching bullying.

My ideal catfish/pleco would be small enough so it could happily live in my 75g for life. Also active and brave enough so I can actually view them and enjoy them.
Something that is cool/unique looking is important too.

Any suggestions that might work or am I dreaming?
 
Bigger tank? A pair of GT's in a 75 is kinda tight. Could be done, but just a little cramped. You add a Pleco in there with them, or any other fish.......get a 6 foot tank. A 125. But if you're gonna get a 125, ya might as well just spring for a 185--same tank, just a little wider.

THEN you could put a pair of GT, a nice 4-6 inch Gold Nugget Pleco, and a crew of Clown Loaches--like 7-9 Clowns. that'd be PIMP. :)


And then a bunch a plants and driftwood.
 
Just wanted to update everyone.

We moved on sunday 2 hours away. While it was a difficult move, everything went well.

Didn't lose any of my young GT's.

One large concern I had was with the water here. It's very hard, super high TDs. My meter read the tap at 763ppm TDs!!

I did a slow acclimation, my old tap water was 172 TDs with a pH of 7.4

I don't know if long term my fish will suffer or what. But they seem to be doing great. I will have to get some updated pics soon. With the tank move I stored up a fair bit and the glass is not super clean. I will be doing another large water change tomorrow and clean the glass and dust off the plants.
 
Since the move the fish have been doing great. I can clearly sex all 6 fish and a pair has formed. Came home tonight and found this.

So my next step now is to rehome all the other 4 fish (1m3f) and just keep my pair and grow them out.

I wanted to ask. Is there a way to maintain good growth and health of my pair while not promoting constant spawning behavior?
 
Not without separating them.
Breeding will slow down growth especially in the female.
 
Leave the fry in there as long as possible, should give you more time between spawning

Well you asked.
That's the only way.Even with fry the adults will eat less while guarding.
If you have to keep them together, growth will be slower.
