This is something I found on the web that I thought would be useful in ID'ing the Crenicichla that is so often mislabeled at a LFS.

UnstoppableJayD UnstoppableJayD or HarleyK HarleyK , please let m know if this is something that can be stickier to help other members.

It does not mention the frog headed pikes? ALso what is the common pure red pike we see in stores? I Thought they were xingu but the picture does not look like them.
I don't think there is a common "fire" pike. I have seen several different ones come through all with the same common label
