So the pump was running last week. I turned it off so I could hook up the hose to do a water change, plugged it back in and nothing. Blah blah I didnt have time to deal with it so it sat in the water for a week unplugged. Well yesterday I go to do the water change, plug it in and POP the breaker trips. I figure maybe something got by the mech filtrations and logged in the propeller or magnet. Take it apart, nada. Put it back together, plug it in POP goes the breaker again. Whats going on? I just replaced the ceramic shaft 4 weeks ago due to my fault of breaking the end off while cleaning it.

Is there other stuff plugged in that wasnt before? Sounds like your electric needs to be upgraded. Try another outlet or unpluggn/turning stuff off.

Since June 5th its been pl ugged into the same power strip which powers 2 200watt heaters, and a power head and 6 19watt CFL's. Ill try switching outlets when I get back from the gym

might be a bit of an overload.
Keep in mind if you trip a breaker enough times it's junk.

Tested it in the kitchen with a gfci outlet, blew it the second I plugged the pump in. I think i broke the outlet to, it wont let me reset it lol. I dont understand...
