Tested it in the kitchen with a gfci outlet, blew it the second I plugged the pump in. I think i broke the outlet to, it wont let me reset it lol. I dont understand...
If you pull the front housing and the impeller and shaft and look into the pump motor housing, you'll find your problem...

You stated earlier that you broke off the shaft when you were taking it apart...
It was running with a broken shaft long enough to breech the windings in the "field".

I bet you'll find, on the inside of that hole, where the impeller goes, there is metal exposed to the water around the magnet.

The only other place you could be dumping voltage directly to ground is the powercord, because all other workings of the electrical part of the motor housing are epoxy encased...

has to be that the pump is bad

this just happened to me with my miter saw

Contact QuietOne and tell them the problem, you have a warranty of some kind I'm sure, maybe you'll luck out and get a new one sent to you if everything looks good on the outside... then it would have to be
"materials or workmanship" and that's what is warrantied the longest...

How old.... ummmm maybe 1.5-2 years? But not more than that. Yes it ran 24/7

Yeah, you might be able to talk Quiet One into sending you a new one. I've seen it done numerous times.
