Quiet One pumps

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I have an ancient one, which is fairly noisy. It works fine though.

So nothing quite about the quite ones. Lol reading all theses comments are giving me doubts about this pump. Any recommendations on other pumps that you guys are satisfied with?

I have a Quiet One 4000HH, churning out almost 900gph @ 3ft of head.
This pump has been in operation for over (2) two years. Was a little noisy but I gave it a small "cushion" of closed cell foam to sit on....noise gone.

I do have a Quiet One 1200 that is fairly noisy, but that to was solved with a small piece of foam.

I have a couple of 4000s, and had the impellers lock up. I'm thinking it was a bad run on them, but they were replaced with absolutely no questions whatsoever. Their customer service is top notch. ALL of my 4000s have been super quiet.

On the other hand, the 9000 is a POS. It's louder than the 20hp chiller pumps that are in use where I work.

How are the replacement 4000 doing right now? The quiet one seem to be good pumps, I don't mind the noise that much but if it breaks on me within a few months then its not even worth getting.

The 4000s are doing well. I've never bothered hooking the replacement 9000 up

I see. How long has the replacement 4000's been running now? I think i am going try these pumps out. Anyone else want to share their experience with these pumps?

i had a quiet one 800 for a while. it was very noisy! i bought it for a sump and let i run. it died after 3 months. now, im looking at the eheim pumps. i figure i'll bite the bullet this time to do it right.

They've been running for about 4-5 months now. The 4000s seem to be awesome pumps. They're quiet for sure. I'll reiterate that the 9000 is loud as hell though.
