Wolf thanks again for all your replies and actually taking the time to help me out with this.

i am looking at dropping numbers.

checkeboards down to 4
angles down to 8
wanna try the 'festivus' at 4 and see what happens
and cories to 8

sound better?

Uarus will very quickly eat all of your plants. I love checkerboard cichlids--I've had them in the past and they're cool little fish. Another smallish calm cichlid is the keyhole-they're not very flashy but they're interesting and mellow. And they'll leave your plants alone.

i love keyholes but for love nor money can find them in the city i live in. thinking 3 or 4 sevs might be the way to go

really? u cant find any in taiwan? i have never been there but i thought they had a huge selection of fish! even in my town i can find keyholes! i usually have to order them online to get much out fo the ordinary!

yeah its weird here. any fish you can think of but then there are a handful of 'normal' fish back home i cant seem to find like
red-tailed shark (labeo bicolor),
keyhole cichlids (aequidens maronii),
striped anostomus (anostomus anostomus)
badis (badis badis),
bubblenest catfish (hoplosternum thoracatum),
kissing gourami (helostoma temmincki)
firemouth cichlids (thorichthys meeki)

these are just some that quite a few shops at home had but i have only seen once or not seen at all in taiwan.
